Travel RN Opportunity - Nashville, Tennessee

Unit Information

Unit: 9 Tower Surgical
Location: Main Tower, 36 beds
Staffing: 40 RNs total (8 bedside RNs per shift)
- Day Shift: 8 RNs, 1 Charge RN, 1 Unit Secretary, 1 Manager, 1 CNC
- Night Shift: 8 RNs
Patient Ratio: 1:5
Equipment: Bariatric fitted ADLs, Wound Vacs, Drains, Lifts
EMR System: Meditech

Typical Procedures

Maintenance of post-op surgical sites
Wound care (packing, dressing changes, wound vac maintenance)
Foley catheter care including continuous bladder irrigation
Ostomy appliance changes and maintenance
Nasogastric tube insertion and suction
Total parenteral nutrition (TPN)
Blood administration
Central line care and dressing changes
Bedside shift report

Required Skills

Must Have:
- Time management and efficiency (fast-paced unit with short length of stay)
- Teamwork
Preferred:
- Background in post-op surgical areas such as vascular, bariatric, urology, general surgery, colorectal
