Job Opportunity: LPN/LVN - Rehab Unit (Travel Position)

Location: El Paso, Texas
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Nights, 12-hour shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
Employment Type: Travel

Unit Overview

• Unit Type: Rehabilitation Hospital
• Number of Beds: 31
• Staffing:

  • 25 nursing staff
  • 20 therapy staff
• Shift Staffing:

  • Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 2-3 RNs or LVNs, 2 techs
  • Night Shift: Same as day shift
• Patient Ratios:

  • Day shift: 1 nurse to 5-6 patients
  • Night shift: 1 nurse to 6-7 patients
• Equipment Used: Hoyers, wheelchairs, walkers, medication carts
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): BLS

Job Requirements

• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • IV Therapy Certificate
• Licenses:

  • Valid LPN/LVN License
• Experience:

  • Required: Rehabilitation (therapy) experience, CareTools
  • Preferred: Rehab experience, transfer experience, wound care experience
• Typical Procedures:

  • Wound care and incision dressings
  • Foley catheter placement
  • Blood transfusion
  • Respiratory therapy (trach suction, breathing treatments)

Work Schedule & Policies

• Shift Hours: 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM (Nights)
• Lunch Break: 30 minutes mandatory
• Weekends: 4 weekends per schedule required
• Call Requirements: None
• Dress Code:

  • Scrubs in galaxy blue or royal blue only
  • On Fridays, a different color top is allowed
• Start Time: 6:45 PM for night shift
