Travel RN Opportunity – Cardiac Medical ICU

Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Details

• Specialty: Cardiac Medical ICU
• Shift: Nights (19:00 - 07:30)
• Weekly Hours: 36 or 48 (must be specified on submission)
• Number of Openings: 3
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend as required
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirements: May be floated to other stepdown units depending on staffing needs

Licensure & Certifications

• Required Licensure: Current RN license eligible or active in Missouri
• Required Certifications:

  • BLS (AHA)
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • NIHSS
• Preferred Certification: TNCC

Experience Requirements

• Years of Experience: Minimum 3 years in Cardiac and/or Medical ICU
• Additional Experience: 3+ years CVICU experience recovering open hearts directly from the OR
• Must Have Skills:

  • At least 2 years inpatient Cardiac Medical ICU experience
  • 2+ years CVICU experience recovering open hearts directly from the OR
• Preferred Skillset: Experience with medical ICU patients with cardiac emphasis (arrhythmias, STEMI, post arrest)

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk most of the shift
• Frequent bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance
• May work varying schedules and shifts based on patient care needs
• Exposure to blood and body fluids (high risk)
• Physical demands include pushing, pulling, gripping up to 50 lbs, pinching up to 15 lbs, minimal kneeling, crouching, and crawling

Additional Information

• Flu vaccination or approved exemption required for all travelers from November 1 to April 1 (no declinations accepted)
• Night shift orientation occurs on day shift; availability for full week orientation required
• Dress code: Black scrubs only; no hats, non-facility jackets/sweatshirts, or AirPods allowed
