Position Details

Unit Information

• Unit: Cath Lab (3-room suite with state-of-the-art equipment)
• Typical Procedures: Cardiovascular, Interventional Radiology (IR), Vascular, and Electrophysiology (EP) cases
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
• Floor: 4th floor, South Tower

Candidate Profile

• Required Skills:

  • Strong clinical skills to manage a variety of procedures and patient types
• Preferred Experience:

  • Cath Lab, IR/Vascular Lab
  • Radiology Technologist
  • ICU or ER nursing experience
  • Caring for critically ill patients
• Personality Fit:

  • Ability to work well with diverse personalities
  • Team player with effective communication skills
  • Calm under pressure
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities

Certifications & Licenses

• Required:

  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • Registered Nurse License (Texas)
• Additional Requirements:

  • For Cardiac Cath Lab techs working with radiological equipment: MRT license required
• Preferred:

  • Critical Care and Trauma certifications

Work Environment

• On Call: Approximately 1-2 days per week and 1 weekend per month
• Floating: None
• Dress Code: Scrubs provided
• Vaccination: Full COVID-19 vaccination required; declinations not accepted
