Job Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Telemetry

Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Employment Type: Travel

Unit Description

Cardiac Medical Unit (42-bed) focusing on Cardiac Telemetry
Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6
Patient population includes cardiac patients (chest pain, shortness of breath, palpitations, arrhythmias), medical patients (pneumonia, GI issues, COPD, diabetes, occasional stroke), and surgical patients
Nurses must be willing to float to other units and hospitals

Schedule & Hours

36 or 48 hours per week available
Every other weekend required
Holidays as required

Requirements

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing

Licenses & Certifications

Registered Nurse license in Alabama or compact license (No temporary licenses accepted)
NURSYS registration
AHA BLS or Red Cross certification

Experience

Minimum 2 years nursing experience required; will consider 18 months under highest professional license
At least 1 year experience in Med Surg Telemetry specialty (higher of 1 year or 2 years overall experience applies)

Prior Travel Experience
