Job Description
A Level One Trauma Center is seeking a Neurosurgery RN with at least 2 years of experience. The role requires competency in circulating for aneurysms, arteriovenous shunts (AVS), complex craniotomies with navigation, and complex spine navigated cases using Airo-CT and O-arm technology. This is a fast-paced environment requiring flexibility.
The RN will be required to take Neuro call totaling 50-150 hours within an 8-week period.
Work Schedule
- Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (day shift)
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
- Weekend Hours: Approximately 1 in 4 weekends, 12-hour shifts
- Call Requirements: One overnight call (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM) for Trauma call; specialty team call schedules apply for Neuro and other specialty teams

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maine
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including within the last year
- Minimum 2 years of Neurosurgery RN experience
- Level 1 trauma experience
- Experience circulating aneurysms
- Experience circulating arteriovenous shunts (AVS)
- Experience with complex craniotomies with navigation
- Experience with complex spine navigated cases
- Experience using Airo-CT technology
- Experience using O-arm technology
- Trauma experience
