Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Surgery

Location: Alexandria, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Provide routine and complex nursing care independently in a cardiovascular surgery setting. Manage clinical situations by making appropriate assignments and delegating tasks. Deliver care consistent with nursing standards and protocols, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families. Administer medications and treatments, monitor effectiveness and side effects, and document patient information. Educate patients, families, and caregivers as needed.

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday
Day shifts, 8 AM to 5 PM
Call required during the week and on weekends

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana
Minimum 1 year of Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience within the last year
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Additional Information

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred
