Unit and Position Details

• Unit: ICU/CCU
• Shift: Varies
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: As needed, every other weekend
• Call Requirements: As needed
• Patient Population: All ages
• Trauma Level: IV
• Number of Openings: 1

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of ICU and CCU nursing experience, including at least 1 year of recent ICU experience within the last year
• Certifications:

  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
  • Health and Wellness Certification (HWC)
• Must be fingerprinted and undergo background check as required by New Mexico state regulations (travelers may start on a 14-day waiver while waiting on results but must be supervised)
• Professional demeanor and adherence to dress code (scrubs only, no casual wear)

Job Responsibilities and Environment

• Provide nursing care in a critical care setting (ICU/CCU)
• Float to other units as needed
• Work with a diverse patient population across all ages
• Maintain required certifications and licensure throughout assignment

Additional Notes

• Orientation occurs weekly on Mondays
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
• Must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as a travel assignment
