Job Description

This position is primarily on a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit within a multi-specialty setting. The unit cares for medical patients including those requiring dialysis and telemetry monitoring, as well as surgical patients recovering from orthopedic and general surgery procedures. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6. Nurses must be willing to float to other units and hospitals as needed.

The unit focuses on pain management, mobility, and prevention of complications, fostering a culture of family and teamwork. This is a 36-hour per week position with every other weekend required, including holidays as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Alabama
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in Medical-Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
