Job Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Telemetry

Location: Reno, Nevada
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Position Overview

• Role: Registered Nurse - Med Surg/Telemetry
• Shift: 3x12 hour night shifts
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed
• Call Requirements: None
• Float Requirement: May be required to float within competency level
• Additional Shift: Required to pick up one additional shift during schedule period
• Schedule: Varies based on department needs; may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
• Cancellation Policy: Employer may cancel shifts with 48 hours’ notice due to low census (full or partial shifts)

Patient Population

• Adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Provides comprehensive nursing care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Coordinates care with other healthcare professionals
• Requires cognitive and psychosocial skills specific to patient population

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Nevada
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg/Telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience working with adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• BLS and ACLS certifications

• Travelers may be required to adapt to varying patient care needs and unit assignments within competency
