Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Location

• Bridgton, Maine
• Small critical access hospital with 22 beds
• Trauma Level IV
• Patient population: Adult, geriatric, occasional bariatric patients
• Equipment: Telemetry
• Electronic Health Record system: EPIC

Position Details

• Employment type: Travel contract
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shift (07:00 - 19:00)
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
• Weekend hours: 24
• Call requirements: None
• Patient ratio on day shift: 5-6 patients per nurse

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maine
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
• Medical-Surgical nursing experience within the last year
• Required certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS)

• Knowledge of medications and IV therapy
• Ability to recognize changes in patient conditions
• Proficiency with electronic medical records
