- 36 hours per week
- 3 twelve-hour shifts
- 3 weekend shifts
- 1 call shift
Unit Details
- Labor & Delivery unit
- 12 beds
- Patient ratio: 1:2
- Travelers float first
- Shared decision-making is part of the patient experience expectations
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Tennessee
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ACLS
- BLS
- NRP
- AWHONN or CEFM
Key Experience Needed
- Care of the laboring patient
- Care of the newborn immediately after delivery
- Circulate and recover C-sections
Procedures on the Unit
- Vaginal deliveries
- C-sections
- D&C
- Cerclage
- Epidural anesthesia
- Tub labor
Dress Code
- Ceil blue, navy blue, or gray scrubs
- Scrubs are not provided by the hospital
