Physical Therapist

Overview

• Travel assignment in Reno, Nevada
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 5x8s, varied shifts, rotating days of the week, including weekends
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 40
• Call requirements: to be discussed during interview

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Nevada
• Physical Therapist (2 years of experience)
• Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services under supervision
• Evaluate, plan, implement, and evaluate care for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Treat gait and transfer limitations, provide orthotic/prosthetic training, and perform comprehensive wound care
• Supervise staff physical therapy assistants and rehab technicians
• May participate in program development and outcome measurements

Scheduling and Assignment Notes

• May float to the needs of the organization up to competency level
• Must pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
• Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
• May be called off without penalty for low census with 48 hours’ notice per 13-week contract
• Per diem staff must work at least 1 major and 1 minor holiday each year; if an area is closed on major holidays, must work at least 1 day during the holiday week

• Therapy services across the health system
• Services may be provided in like facilities, including inpatient hospital settings and post-acute facility settings
