RN - OR Circulator (General & Neuro Surgery)

Location: Cape Girardeau, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Weekly Hours: 36 hours (4x10 hour day shifts)

Job Summary

Role: Registered Nurse (RN) Circulator in Operating Room
Specialty: Primarily Neuro Surgery with General Surgery (including Urology, Gynecology, Orthopedics)
Focus on perioperative patient care: assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and patient advocacy
Shift Details: Day shift, 10-hour shifts, with a limit of 3 Fridays or Mondays off in a 6-week schedule
Call Requirements: Rotating weekend call approximately every 6-7 days; scheduled late shifts designated to stay late if needed
Patient Type: Surgical patients

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Missouri
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
Neuro Surgery experience
Experience with General Surgery including Urology, Gynecology, and Orthopedics
Familiarity with surgical equipment: DaVinci Xi robot, Hana Table, Arthrex tower, Beach Chair positioning
BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
Flu vaccination required for travel between November 1 and April 1 (exemptions require approval)

Dress Code: Hospital-provided black scrubs only (no other scrub colors allowed)

This is not an auto-offer position
The facility is a 244-bed hospital serving a large regional population
Weekend hours are not regularly scheduled outside of call requirements

This position is ideal for an RN with strong neuro and general surgery OR experience who enjoys a dynamic surgical environment and is comfortable with advanced surgical technology.
