Travel RN - Wound/Ostomy Care

Unit and Work Environment

• Unit: Inpatient Wound Care
• Number of Beds: 512
• Patient Ratios: Consulted for wound care recommendations and treatment with weekly follow-ups
• Documentation System: Expanse
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
• Dress Code: Navy Blue scrubs
• Role is autonomous, involving consultation for inpatient wound patients including recommendations, pictures, and measurements
• Responsibilities include new ostomy teaching and managing difficult wound vacs and fistulas
• Certification: WOCN (Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing) certification required

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Virginia
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of wound care nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• WOCN certification
• BLS certification
• Ability to function independently in wound care management
• De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
