Wound Care RN

Job Overview

• Travel RN position in Rhinelander, Wisconsin
• 13-week contract
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Day shift: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• 4 days per week
• No weekends
• No holidays

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Wound Care (2 years of experience)
• Wound Care experience within the last year
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

• Wound and ostomy certification or extensive work in a wound/ostomy clinic
• Wound and ostomy experience

Work Setting

• Outpatient procedural department
• May be low censused and placed on call
• Call back minimum is 2 hours
• Float assignment may include a wound clinic in Woodruff, Wisconsin

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide wound care and ostomy-related care
• Support inpatient and ED consultations
• Perform topical wound care, compression wraps, wound VACs, total contact casting, conservative sharp wound debridement, ostomy pouching system changes, and treatment of peristomal skin breakdown

Additional Notes

• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius
• Scrubs of any type are allowed
• Closed-toe shoes are required
• Fake nails and nail polish are not allowed
