Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical

Location: Waukesha, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday rotation (including 4th of July, Labor Day, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve nights)

Job Details

Work primarily on a 53-bed Medical-Surgical unit (5 Med) with a patient ratio of approximately 1:7-8
Must be able to read telemetry monitors
Experience required in short-term acute care hospital settings
Float assignments possible to nearby hospitals and similar units as needed
No on-call or call-back requirements
Charting experience with EPIC within the last 12 months is required
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong documentation skills, resilience, adaptability, and social engagement

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin
Minimum of 3 years of Medical-Surgical nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Experience with Epic electronic health record system

Additional Information

Scrub colors: Any
Float assignments will only be within clinical skill set and require approval from employee and management
Guaranteed hours per week except during holidays when the unit is closed
