Registered Nurse – Float Pool

Location: Waukesha, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 12-hour Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week (48 hours possible upon request)
Weekends/Holidays: As needed (includes Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and New Year’s Day night shifts)

Job Description

• Work as a Float Pool RN primarily on PCU/StepDown units during night shifts.
• Float to multiple inpatient units and campuses including Emergency Department, Med/Surg, Oncology, Ortho/Neuro, Heart Care, ICU, and other similar units as needed.
• No on-call or call-back requirements.
• Must be able to adapt to a fast-paced environment, manage change well, and demonstrate strong documentation skills.
• Scrubs dress code (any color/style).
• COVID-19 vaccination required unless a medical or religious exemption applies.

Required Qualifications

• Current Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum 3 years of Med/Surg experience.
• Prior PCU RN experience required.
• At least 1 prior travel nursing contract completed (prior travel experience required).
• Experience in short-term acute care hospital settings.
• Current EPIC charting experience within the last 12 months.
• Ability to read telemetry monitoring.

Additional Information

• Orientation start date: July 14 (next available).
• Floating assignments will be based on census and require approval if outside clinical skills.
• Guaranteed hours exclude holiday weeks when units may be closed.
