Job Summary

  • Provide direct patient care using the nursing process during assigned shifts.
  • Ensure safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient, and equitable care.
  • Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individual patient needs and responses.
  • Coordinate patient care through collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team.
  • Initiate and document appropriate protocols and standards of care.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed or per protocols.
  • Identify and address patient and family learning and discharge needs throughout care.
  • Supervise LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel clinically.
  • Complete patient population, procedure, and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards.
  • Floating between departments or local locations within 20 miles is required.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years current experience in a large OR.
  • Ability to scrub.
  • Team player, flexible, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Epic experience preferred but not required (training available on-site).
  • Experience in Ortho, EENT, and/or vascular procedures is a plus.
