Registered Nurse (OB Inpatient) - Illinois, Urbana

Job Summary

Provide professional nursing care to a group of patients during a designated shift using the nursing process, current nursing trends, technology, and resources. Responsible for patient assessments, infant care, medication administration, and documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).

Key Responsibilities

Perform patient assessments and infant care.
Administer medications as ordered by physicians.
Complete and maintain accurate documentation of nursing care in EMR.
Develop, implement, and modify patient care plans based on continuous evaluation.
Ensure patient and employee safety by identifying and reporting hazards.
Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and provide constructive feedback.
Participate in professional development and fulfill departmental competencies.

Work Schedule

Day shift: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
36 hours per week
12-hour shifts

Contract Length

13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
Minimum 3 years of OB/GYN nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
