Registered Nurse (OB Inpatient) - Illinois, Urbana
Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care to a group of patients during a designated shift using the nursing process, current nursing trends, technology, and resources. Responsible for patient assessments, infant care, medication administration, and documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Key Responsibilities
- Perform patient assessments and infant care.
- Administer medications as ordered by physicians.
- Complete and maintain accurate documentation of nursing care in EMR.
- Develop, implement, and modify patient care plans based on continuous evaluation.
- Ensure patient and employee safety by identifying and reporting hazards.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare team members and provide constructive feedback.
- Participate in professional development and fulfill departmental competencies.
Work Schedule
- Day shift: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- 36 hours per week
- 12-hour shifts
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
- Minimum 3 years of OB/GYN nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
