Pathologists Assistant

Job Overview

Travel/contract assignment
Location: Saratoga Springs, New York
Shift: Day, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:40 PM
No weekends or call
Contract length: 16 weeks
Local candidates must live outside the 50-mile local radius

Required Qualifications

Valid Pathology Assistant license in New York
Pathology Assistant (1 year of experience)
Pathology Assistant experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
ASCP-PA
Experience in a(n) Hospital setting
Experience with Epic

Key Job Duties

Cut and stain frozen sections
Triage fresh tissue for lymphoma workups
Identify glomeruli for medical renal cores
Handle specimens including breast, uterus, lung, and colon resections
Heavy breast service

Additional Notes

Average daily volume: 200 blocks
Epic charting is required
