Overview

Travel/contract role in New Haven, Connecticut
Day shift, 3x12 hours
36 hours per week
Contract length: 13 weeks
Short-term acute care setting
Level I trauma center
Cross-training and floating between campuses may occur
Assigned to one campus, with possible rotation to other campuses

Schedule

Every other weekend required
On-call not required
Block scheduling not available
Guaranteed hours

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Connecticut
ED - Emergency Department (1.5 years of experience)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
TNCC - Trauma Nursing Core Course
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Unit / Role Details

Emergency Department RN
Average patient ratio: 1:6 on days and nights
Travelers do not work trauma/rescue rooms, triage, or locked behavioral health units
Floating is within scope to meet facility needs

Additional Notes

RTO greater than 7 days requires approval
Photo ID matching legal name is required on the first day
Parking is available for $125/month
