Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Columbus, Ohio
- 13-week assignment
- 3x12 schedule, 36 hours per week
- Rotates every 4 weeks between days and nights
- Estimated patient ratio: 1:1-2
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- MICU - Medical Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Proficiency in EPIC documentation system
Clinical Focus / Experience Areas
- Multisystem Organ Failure
- Respiratory Failure
- COVID
- Sepsis
- Post-Cardiac Arrest
- Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA)
- Liver Failure
- Renal Failure

- Continuous Glucose Monitoring for Hyperglycemia
- Externalized IV Pumps for COVID+ Patients

- NxStage CRRT
- Alaris IV Pump
- GE Cardiac Monitor
- GE Ventilator
- Boom Lift in Each Patient Room
