Clinical Lab Scientist

Overview

Travel/contract role in New Orleans, Louisiana
13-week assignment
Night shift: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Schedule is 7-on/7-off, Wednesday through Tuesday, with every other weekend and holidays as scheduled
36 hours per week
Float within the department is required
Call is not required
Scrubs: any color

Required Qualifications

Valid Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) license in Louisiana
Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) experience within the last year
Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) with 3 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

ASCP certification preferred

Unit Details

Blood bank work including irradiation, splitting blood products, and plasma reduction on plateletpheresis
Responsibilities include HPC processing and cryopreservation procedures, inventory, preventive maintenance, quality control, troubleshooting equipment, quality assurance, and maintaining technical proficiency in HPC and other clinical laboratory areas
