Job Overview

- Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM

Role Summary
This role supports patients with serious illness by managing symptoms such as uncontrolled pain, severe nausea/vomiting, failure to thrive, and fatigue. The unit also involves floating to other med-surg units of equivalent or lower acuity.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Ohio
- Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Palliative experience
- Experience with Epic
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity
- 2 professional references are required, including at least 1 from a manager, director, or other formal leader
- Employment application required
- Skills checklist required
Preferred
- Previous travel experience is preferred

Units are nice, staff are kind. Single patient rooms with 4:1 ratios day and night on med surg.
Cons
Scheduled every weekend, floated for the first 6 weeks of contract every shift. Not traveler friendly even though they say they are. Staff are treated well not travelers.
