ICU Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel/contract ICU RN in Middletown, Ohio
• 13-week winter contract option
• Night shift: 4x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
• 48 hours per week
• Must work every other holiday and every other weekend
• Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Open Heart surgery experience including CABG and valve post-op cases
• Impella device experience
• IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump) experience
• CRRT (Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy) experience
• Mechanical ventilator management experience
• NIH (Neuro-Intensive Care) experience
• ICP (Intracranial Pressure) monitoring experience
• Conscious sedation experience
• Experience with Epic

Unit / Clinical Setting

• 16-bed ICU unit
• Target ratios: 1:2 for Critical Care and 1:3 for Intermediate level patients
• Designated Neuro Unit for ischemic strokes receiving TPA
• May care for COVID positive patients
• CRRT, 24-hour EEG, hypothermia post cardiac arrest, and prone patients are part of the clinical environment
• Level III Trauma Center

Floating

• Traveler will be first to float at discretion
• May float in and out of specialty clusters
• May be assigned a medically appropriate assignment or support the nursing care team of the unit floated to, including high-risk respiratory unit/COVID
• If assigned to MVH, may float to main campus (Dayton), south campus (Centerville), and North Campus (Englewood)

Additional Notes

• Request RTO with initial submittal; no RTO will be added after the offer
• RTO approval is at manager discretion
• Premier Health reserves the right to cancel 2 shifts due to low census per 13-week contract
• Premier Health reserves the right to cancel the agreement with 2 weeks' notice without fee or fine
• Travelers are not eligible for employee incentives
