Registered Nurse - CT ICU

Location: Aurora, Colorado Assignment type: Travel/Contract Contract length: 13 weeks

Schedule

• Shifts: 3x12-hour shifts, rotating. Day shift is 7:00 to 19:30; night shift is 19:00 to 7:30.
• Hours: 12 per day, 36 per week
• Days of the week: Various
• On-call: Not required
• Weekends: Required per unit needs
• Float: Floating within scope and between like units per unit needs

Unit Details

• Unit: 24-bed CT ICU, the regional destination for comprehensive circulatory and respiratory support for critically ill adults
• Total staffed beds: 17
• Patient ratios: Based on acuity, ranging from 1:2 to 2:1, including 1:1
• Services: Open-heart surgeries, ventricular assist devices, heart and lung transplants, ECMO, aortic aneurysm repair, and vascular and thoracic surgeries
• Care modalities: Vasoactive medications through complete cardiopulmonary support
• Charting system: Epic
• Scrub color: Navy
• First-time travelers: Accepted

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Colorado
• CTICU (Cardiothoracic Intensive Care) experience, 2 years
• CTICU (Cardiothoracic Intensive Care) experience within the last year
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Other Information

• Complete facility new-employee orientation modules within the first two weeks of the assignment.
