Overview

• Travel/contract role in Fredericksburg, Virginia
• Medical floor specializing in palliative care and oncology
• Inpatient medical experience required
• Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:6
• Unit floats within scope to medical assignment and ED for medical holds
• First-time travelers accepted
• Locals accepted

Schedule

• Day shift, 3x12 hours
• 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday RTO must be pre-approved; Christmas RTO is unlikely to be approved

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Virginia
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• Oncology experience within the last year
• 2 years of oncology experience
• Experience in an inpatient setting
• Chemotherapy administration
• Blood transfusions

Skills / Clinical Experience

• Neutropenic precautions
• IV skill and management
• Isolation precautions
• Experience with COPD, diabetic, cellulitis, pancreatitis, sickle cell, oncology, respite/hospice patient populations
