Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an Occupational Therapist
- First-time travelers are welcome (no prior travel experience required)
Required Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- NBCOT Certification
- New Mexico State License (pending NM license is acceptable)
Work Schedule
- Dayshift
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
Background Checks & Verifications
- 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required upon hire
- Education verification of highest level required (transcript or diploma may be accepted temporarily)
- Fingerprinting required onsite during orientation (specific to New Mexico placements)
- Work history verification for the past 7 years
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start (annual renewal required)
- Adult Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- TB questionnaire for positive TB results (annual renewal)
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; boosters if titers are negative/equivocal
- Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination accepted
- Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or physician-documented history required; boosters if titers are negative/equivocal
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required (declinations not accepted)

- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure)
- CHEMO (Chemotherapy)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB)
- NIH Stroke Certification
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
Competency Exams
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (80% passing score or meet/exceed Angoff score)
- Color Blind Testing (online)
- Profession-specific competency exams (minimum 80% passing score or meet/exceed Angoff score)
- Annual core testing for subcontractors
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Clear headshot photo for badge
- Fingerprint consent form must be signed prior to start (for New Mexico placements)
- Employee vehicle registration form completion prior to start
Notes
- Orientation and EPIC training can be attended pending fingerprint clearance, but work on unit cannot begin until clearance is received.
- All documentation must be current and compliant with facility and state regulations.
