Required Experience: Minimum 1 year
First-time travelers accepted: Yes
Weekend Requirement: 8 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule period (Friday/Saturday/Sunday combination)
Floating: Regular floating within scope may be required between departments, units, and facilities
Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments as needed
Guaranteed Hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks (cancelled shifts must be regular shift length)
On-call: Not required
Block schedule: Not accommodated
Local candidates: Not accepted (home address must be at least 75 miles from facility)
Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: No more than 7 days

Required Certifications

BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
Additional certifications may be required depending on unit (e.g., PALS, NRP, TNCC, CPI/MAB, NIH Stroke Certification) - check unit-specific requirements

Licensure

Active RN license required (Missouri license verifiable via NURSYS)
Pending licenses not accepted
IV Certification required for LPN/LVN if applicable (Missouri facilities)

Skills & Competencies

Unit-specific competency exams required and must be updated annually
Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam required as applicable
Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam required within 12 months for certain units
Color Blind Testing required within 12 months of start

Background Checks & Compliance

Criminal background check within 6 months of start (7-year search including statewide, nationwide, and international if applicable)
EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required quarterly
Education verification of highest nursing degree required before start
Fingerprinting required for assignments in Illinois long-term care or rehab units
State-specific searches required for Missouri and Illinois placements
Abuse registry and other state-specific checks as applicable

Health & Immunization Requirements

Physical exam within 1 year of start
Fit mask testing (N95) required and must be renewed annually
Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine or declination required
Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year of start (2-step PPD or equivalent)
Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination required (with exceptions for certain units)
Hepatitis B declination form required (vaccination not mandatory)
Drug testing within 1 year of start, must include specific panels and be current throughout assignment
Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season (09/30 - 04/01)

Facility-Specific Requirements

Badge photo (head and shoulders, white background, no obstructions)
HIPAA Acknowledgement signed prior to start and updated annually
Latex Allergy Questionnaire, Confidentiality Form, Hand Hygiene Policy, Fingernail Policy, Dress Code Policy to be reviewed and signed prior to start
Regulatory Compliance Education completed and passed with 80% or higher prior to start and annually thereafter
Additional healthstream modules and facility-specific training may be required prior to orientation
