Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract

Location: Owings Mills, Maryland
Contract Length: 14 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse to provide home health care services primarily for geriatric patients in Baltimore County. Typical work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with an expected daily visit volume of approximately 6 patients. Weekend work is generally not required but may be requested occasionally. Call coverage may be requested on an as-needed basis.

Requirements

• Valid RN license in Maryland
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of Home Health experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience in a Home Care setting
• Experience with OASIS documentation
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) certification
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle

Required Qualifications & Certifications

• Additional certifications may be required as applicable depending on assignment
• Compliance with background checks, drug screening, and health documentation including:

  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within the last year
  • Immunizations or titers for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption
  • COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption
  • N95 fit testing within the last year

Documentation & Compliance

• Proof of identity and eligibility to work (I9, government-issued photo ID)
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history and other federal/state screenings
• Drug screening (9-panel) within one year of start date
• Physical exam within the last 12 months
• References: 2 professional references within 2 years required for travel positions
• Completion of required competency exams and orientation safety acknowledgments

Additional Notes

• Local candidates are acceptable
• Productivity expectation: 30 points per week
• Must carry photo identification during hours of service
• Auto insurance documentation required

Prior Travel Experience

• No explicit prior travel experience required

Specialty Experience Requirement

• Minimum 2 to 3 years of home care nursing experience required (highest stated)
