Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 26 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 2 years of experience in Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics. First-time travelers are accepted. The position requires working every third weekend and includes floating within scope to meet facility needs. Pending licenses are accepted.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Missouri
- Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience with Epic electronic health record system
Schedule & Work Conditions
- Weekend requirement: Every third weekend
- Floating within scope of practice as needed
- Locals within 75 miles radius are not accepted
- Return to Office (RTO) restrictions: No more than 7 days
- Guaranteed minimum hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks
- Block scheduling accommodations may be considered
Prior Travel Experience
- Prior travel experience is not required. First-time travelers are accepted.

Required Compliance & Documentation
- Government-issued ID (e.g., driver’s license or state ID)
- Criminal background check within 6 months, including statewide and nationwide searches
- Quarterly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
- Education verification of highest related degree
- Professional license primary source verification (including NURSYS for Missouri licenses)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Drug testing within 1 year of start, must include standard drug panels and be valid throughout assignment
- Immunizations and health screenings:
- Tdap vaccine or declination (expires every 10 years)
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity or vaccination/declination as applicable
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
- Fit mask testing (N95 respirators) with annual renewal
- Various facility-specific compliance documents including HIPAA acknowledgement, confidentiality form, hand hygiene, dress code, and latex allergy questionnaire
- Unit-specific competency exams and skills checklists as required
- References: Two professional references required (supervisors preferred)
Additional Requirements
- Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs
- Must be able to work with airway management devices and perform medication administration as listed
- Epic experience required for charting and documentation
- Must adhere to facility policies including dress code, hand hygiene, and fingernail policies
Notes
- Parking is available with monthly fees; night shift parking may be free in designated employee lots
- Orientation requires parking in a designated garage with a fee (not reimbursed)
- Candidates must provide a recent badge photo (head and shoulders, white background, no obstructions)
