Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist - Acute Care Hospital

Job Description

• Position: Physical Therapist (PT)
• Setting: Acute Inpatient Care
• Weekend Requirement: At least 1 Saturday per month; open to regular Saturday and Sunday coverage
• Must be licensed to practice Physical Therapy in Oklahoma

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Oklahoma
• Minimum of 1 year of Physical Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
• 13 weeks of contract availability
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or ARC only)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required for ICU, ER, L&D, Cath Lab Tech, RRT (if applicable)
• Background check: 7-year criminal history, including all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, must be cleared prior to start
• Drug screening: 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start, results must be finalized before start
• Immunizations and health requirements including:

  • Tdap vaccine within 10 years (declination acceptable)
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella immunity (positive titer or vaccination proof required; declinations not accepted)
  • Hepatitis B vaccination series, titer, or declination
  • Flu vaccination or approved declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
  • COVID-19 vaccination with the current Comirnaty mRNA 2024-2025 vaccine or approved declination form

Additional Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID required
• I9 or attestation required
• E-Verify or attestation required
• Completion of facility-specific orientation and compliance documents prior to start
• Completion of HealthStream training modules (2-3 hours) prior to start, must be finished by Friday before Monday start date
• Professional references: 2 required within 3 years of start
• Employment application and annual skills checklist required

Notes

• Fit testing and color-blind exam will be completed onsite during orientation
• Physical exam within 1 year of start date required
• Candidate must review and sign facility commitment and confidentiality agreements prior to start
• Flu and COVID declination forms must be completed if vaccines are declined

This position is ideal for a licensed Physical Therapist with acute care experience who is flexible with weekend coverage and able to commit to a 13-week travel contract in Oklahoma.
