Location: Manchester, New Hampshire
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Provide outpatient rehabilitation therapy as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
  • Treat adult neurological speech diagnoses, including dysphagia, voice, and cognition
  • Adult SLP outpatient rehab experience required

Schedule Options

  • Option 1:
    • Monday/Wednesday: 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM
    • Tuesday/Thursday: 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Option 2:
    • Monday/Wednesday: 9:30 AM – 7:00 PM
    • Tuesday/Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
    • Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in New Hampshire
  • Experience working with adult patients
  • Experience in an outpatient setting
  • Experience treating adult neurological speech diagnoses
  • Experience treating dysphagia
  • Experience treating voice

Background and Compliance Requirements

  • Background check within 30 days of start including:
    • Social Security verification
    • National sex offender registry
    • National and state criminal searches (excluding NH counties; NH State Police search required)
    • Education verification (high school acceptable for CNAs)
    • Motor vehicle background check if driving to patient homes (for applicable roles)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
  • SSA release and state-specific releases (NH and MA if applicable) required
  • Employment application, skills checklist, and two professional references (one from a supervisor) required
  • Annual internal evaluation required for travelers with 1+ year tenure

Facility-Specific Documents

  • Passport-style photo (JPEG) for badge
  • Proof of auto insurance if driving to patient homes (Home Health/Hospice roles)
  • Compliance attestation completed by recruiter or agency representative
  • Immunization exemption forms (medical and religious) must be completed and approved if applicable
  • Hepatitis B waiver required if declining vaccine

Additional Notes

  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
  • Candidates cannot start with pending drug screens or background checks (except NH county searches which are not required)
  • Flu vaccination required annually between October 31 and April 1; exemptions require documentation and approval
  • Candidates starting before October 1 may receive flu vaccine onsite
  • Pass/fail testing for dysrhythmia/EKG required for some units; remediation and retake policies apply
  • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification may be required/preferred depending on unit
  • Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) certification may be required/preferred depending on unit
  • Medication and competency exams required for internal purposes
