Registered Nurse - Urology Clinic (Travel/Contract)

Location: Medford, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)


Job Description

  • Role: Registered Nurse in an outpatient urology clinic
  • Primary duties include daily catheterization of male and female patients and suprapubic catheter changes
  • Patient diagnoses commonly seen: prostate, bladder, kidney, testicular, penile cancers; incontinence; BPH; erectile dysfunction; renal calculus; voiding dysfunction; overactive bladder; urinary retention; male UTI; circumcision; undescended testicles
  • Charting system used: EPIC
  • No weekend or on-call requirements
  • No floating between units
  • Locals and first-time travelers accepted

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Oregon (active and in hand)
  • Minimum 1 year of urology nursing experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Comfort and proficiency with suprapubic catheter changes and daily catheterization of male and female patients

Certifications & Competencies

  • BLS and ACLS (AHA or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation)
  • Other certifications (PALS, NRP, CHEMO, EFM, IV Certification, MAB, NIH Stroke, CPI) as applicable or required by clinical track (not mandatory for this role unless specified)
  • Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
  • Skills checklist updated annually (specific to urology and catheter skills)

Facility & Compliance Requirements

  • Passport-style badge photo with neutral background required
  • Completion of required WorkRamp modules prior to start, including:
    • Annual regulatory requirements
    • Specialty-specific modules for outpatient/urology settings
    • Regional core and specialty-specific training modules for Oregon
  • EPIC training modules required, with transcripts on file prior to start
  • System TB questionnaire must be completed prior to start and updated annually
  • Float policy acknowledgment may be required (though no floating expected for this role)

  • Prior travel experience is not required
  • Locals accepted but not required
