Location: Worcester, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Must be nationally certified through NBSTSA.
• Minimum 2 years of experience required.
• Must be able to scrub cardiac and endovascular cases.
• Previous Level I experience required.
• Unit handles cases including CABG, aortic valve replacement, mitral valve repair/replacement, tricuspid valve repair/replacement, VAD, and aortic dissection.
• Charting system used: Epic.
• Scheduling is based on unit needs; no block schedules.
• Call requirements: 1 night per week and every 6th weekend.

Required Qualifications

• National certification through NBSTSA.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years of CVOR Technologist experience, including experience within the last year.
• Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients.

Additional Requirements

• Valid driver’s license or state ID.
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, education verification, and other standard screenings.
• Various health and immunization documents required (e.g., TB testing, flu vaccination or declination, COVID vaccination or declination).
• Physical exam within 12 months of start, including physician statement of fitness.
• Drug testing within 30 days of start.
• References: 2 within the last 3 years.
• Employment application covering 7 years of employment history with explanations for gaps over 30 days.
• Competency exams and medication/pharmacology tests as applicable.

Work Environment

• Location: Worcester, MA.
• Unit involves complex cardiac and vascular surgical procedures.
• Use of Epic electronic health record system.
• Call schedule includes nights and weekends.

This position is suitable for experienced CVOR Technicians with cardiac and endovascular scrub experience looking for a travel contract in Massachusetts.
