Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Telemetry Registered Nurse for night shift coverage. This is a travel/contract position requiring flexibility to float to other units and campuses within the hospital system as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in California
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 3 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience, including experience within the last year
- At least 6 months of total travel nursing experience
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale Certification)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute)
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year background check including social security trace, county searches, sex offender search, education verification, and FACIS Level 3 screening
- Drug screening (9-panel, excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to CA law) within 6 months of start
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Fit test for approved masks within 1 year, renewed annually
- Immunizations and health screenings including:
- TB test or chest x-ray within 90 days of start, renewed annually
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap within 10 years
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) immunity or vaccination
- Hepatitis B vaccination or declination
- Varicella immunity or vaccination
- Seasonal flu vaccination during flu season (Nov-April) or signed declination
- Completion of facility-specific documents and orientations prior to start
Additional Information
- Floating may include other units or campuses within the hospital system, with shuttle transportation provided if needed
- Must complete various competency exams as applicable, including medication/pharmacology and dysrhythmia/EKG competency
- Required to review and sign multiple facility-specific policies and agreements prior to start
- Employment application must include full 7 years of work history with no gaps greater than 30 days without explanation
