Job Details

• Position available for the 26/27 school year
• Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
• Openings across all grade levels from Pre-K through 12th grade in various settings
• Candidates should specify their preference for age group and setting

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Special Education Teacher
• Recent Special Education Teacher experience within the last year
• Must hold a valid Colorado teaching license or be in the process of obtaining licensure
• CDE Special Education Generalist educator certificate required for Special Education teachers
• Special Education teachers working in Early Childhood must have Early Childhood Special Education (0-8) endorsement
• Candidates may start with certification pending if the application has been submitted to the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) and is in process
• Completion of the Colorado CAPS Release Authorization form is required prior to background checks
• Fingerprinting through Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and FBI required; candidates must complete two sets of prints (one for agency, one for client)
• Mandatory Reporter training specific to Colorado educational services is required and must be updated annually
• Educational Services - State Teaching Certificate and Credential verification required
• FERPA training and acknowledgement required and must be updated annually

Background and Compliance Requirements

• Criminal background check within 1 year of start and updated annually, including multiple searches (SS Trace, Federal, Nationwide, County, Sex Offender) for the last 7 years of residency/work/school
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 1 year of start and updated annually
• Official or unofficial transcripts required for all candidates
• Drug testing only if specifically requested by the client
• Physical exam, TB testing, and immunizations only if required by client or state
