Interventional Radiology Tech (Travel/Contract) - Indiana, South Bend

Position Details

• Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology (Interventional Radiology with Neurovascular IR focus)
• Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM; on-call hours 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
• Call Requirements:

  • On-call 1 day per week
  • Weekend call every 3rd or 4th weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
  • Weekend requirement limited to on-call weekends only
• Holiday Requirement: As needed
• Floating: None
• Daily Caseload: 10-15 cases per tech
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Locals: Not accepted; traveler must live at least 50 miles away from the facility
• First-time travelers: Accepted

Required Experience & Skills

• Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Indiana
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
• Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year

Licensure & Certifications

• License: Active state license required by start date (pending licenses accepted if active by start)
• Certifications:

  • BLS (AHA only)
  • ACLS (AHA only)
  • Other certifications may be required based on unit specifics (refer to unit job description)

Background & Health Requirements

• Background Check:

  • Required within 90 days of start
  • Must cover last 7 years and all states lived/worked in
  • Includes SSN trace, state checks, national criminal, sex offender, and motor vehicle report (if applicable)
• Education Verification: Required (diploma or transcript)
• Physical Exam: Required (Aya Physician Statement form)
• TB Testing: Negative 2-step PPD or Q-gold within 1 year of start (T-spot not accepted)
• Immunizations:

  • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella: Titer or 2 vaccines; booster if low titer
  • Hepatitis B: Titer, series, or declination
  • Varicella: Titer or 2 vaccines; booster if low titer
• Drug Testing: Negative 12-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (includes amphetamines, cannabinoids, MDMA, methamphetamines, buprenorphine, oxycodone, fentanyl, cocaine, methadone, tramadol, benzodiazepines, morphine/opiate)
• Flu Vaccination: Required prior to start or approved medical/religious exemption; documentation must be on file by December 15
• COVID-19 Vaccination: Medical and religious exemptions accepted with proper documentation

• Photo: Passport-style photo with solid background required for badge
• Employment Application: Required prior to start
• Facility-Specific Documents: Confidentiality and Non-Disclosure Agreement required
• Training Modules:

  • Completion of facility-specific online modules (approx. 8-10 hours) required before start
  • Modules due by Friday 1:00 PM CST before start date
  • Returning candidates within 1 year may be exempt from new modules
