Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech

Location: Sayre, Pennsylvania
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work schedule may include 4x10 hour shifts
• Call required: 1 shift per week and every 3rd weekend
• Specialty area: Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab
• Equipment used: Phillips
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Required credentials: ARRT or RCIS
• Experience required: Minimum 3 years in specialty

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist
• Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Valid certification as ARRT or RCIS

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID required
• I9 verification required
• Background checks including 7-year criminal history, social security trace, county searches, sex offender registry, education verification
• Education verification must confirm highest level of education (ASN/BSN for RNs, GED/High School for Allied)
• Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
• Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by a licensed provider, confirming fitness to work
• Respirator fit test within 1 year of start, updated annually
• TB testing: QGold/TSpot preferred within 90 days or 2 PPDs with proper documentation, updated annually
• Immunizations or titers required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (series, declination, or positive titer)
  • Varicella
• Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
• COVID vaccination: 2 doses required or approved exemption (booster not required)
• Respirator clearance questionnaire required prior to start
• Professional references: 2 required
• Employment application required
• Unit-specific skills checklist required within 1 year of start, updated annually

Additional Requirements

• Must comply with facility-specific policies including confidentiality, personal appearance, infection control, safety, harassment prevention, and diversity/equity/inclusion training
• Photo for badge must meet specific guidelines (plain background, no hats/masks/sunglasses, no selfies)
• Completion of facility-specific training modules and competency exams as applicable
• Pennsylvania Department of Human Services fingerprinting required (FBI fingerprinting accepted if within 5 years)

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
• Telemetry (Tele) is not part of this role
• All certifications and documentation must be current and verifiable prior to start date
