Radiation Therapist Travel/Contract Position

Location: Mount Vernon, Illinois
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Shift: Day (4x10 hours), 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Schedule options: 5x8 or 4x10 shifts accepted
• No call, no weekends, no holidays required
• Start times may fluctuate
• Adult outpatient radiation therapy including pre-treatment, custom molds, portal cast, SBRT, electron beam therapy
• Experience with Eclipse (Varian), ARIA, TrueBeam systems
• Treatment of benign brain tumors, Hodgkin’s lymphoma
• Use of Epic electronic medical records system
• Purple scrubs required

Required Qualifications

• Valid Radiation Therapist license in Illinois
• Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one travel assignment as a Radiation Therapist
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification for Radiation Therapists
• Experience with adult outpatient radiation therapy including pre-treatment, custom molds, portal cast, SBRT, and electron beam therapy
• Proficiency with radiation therapy software and equipment: Eclipse (Varian), ARIA, TrueBeam
• Experience using Epic electronic medical records system

Skills & Competencies

• Adult outpatient radiation therapy skills including pre-treatment and custom molds
• Experience with advanced radiation therapy techniques such as SBRT and electron beam therapy
• Familiarity with radiation therapy software and equipment: Eclipse (Varian), ARIA, TrueBeam
• Ability to work independently with no call or weekend responsibilities

Additional Requirements

• Must review and sign confidentiality, security agreements, and standards of ethical conduct prior to start
• Completion of facility-specific orientation modules and post-start orientation checklists
• Completion of respirator fit test onsite during first week of orientation
• Submission of a clear, passport-style photo for badge issuance
• Two professional references required for new candidates
• Skills checklist verification required
