Job Details

• Start Date: ASAP - 1/20/2026
• Shift: Mix of 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts; days, evenings, and nights depending on unit needs
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• On-Call: Yes, up to one weekend per month and one weekday (3-5 call shifts per month)
• Floating: Yes, within scope to pre/post-op units
• Block Schedule: To be determined
• Locals Accepted: No
• Pending License Accepted: Yes
• Return to Office Restrictions: None

Experience & Requirements

• Specialty: Registered Nurse
• Years of Experience Required: Minimum 2 years
• Epic Experience: 1 year required
• Prior Travel Experience: Preferred but not required; first-timers accepted
• Weekend Requirement: To be determined

Certifications Required

• Mandatory:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• Additional Certifications (depending on unit):

  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) for PICU, ER, PACU
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure) for NICU, Nursery, Antepartum, Postpartum, Labor & Delivery
  • CHEMO for Oncology
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) required for ER; preferred for ICU
  • EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) for L&D, Mother-Baby/Postpartum, Nursery
  • NIH Stroke Certification for ED, Cath Lab, ICU, CV Surgery (not CVOR), MS/Tele, Neurology, and Techs

Licensure

• Valid state licensure/certification required within 30 days of start
• WA State Patrol background check must be run within 90 days prior to start (for Washington placements)

Background Checks & Compliance

• Background check required within 60 days of start (7-year search including SSN trace, counties/states lived/worked, federal, national criminal, and social security verification)
• EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks must be run 15 days prior to start and every 45 days after
• Social Security Verification required; candidates may start pending this if I-9 and eVerify are on file

Health & Safety Requirements

• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Fit mask test within 1 year and updated annually (N95 fit testing onsite if providing patient care)
• Full Tdap vaccine or declination required
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start; TB questionnaire required for positive TB results
• Immunity or vaccination documentation required for:

  • Rubeola (Measles)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B (titer, vaccination series, or declination)
  • Varicella (Chicken Pox)
• Drug testing required within 30 days of start (specific panels required)
• Flu seasonal vaccination or approved declination required during flu season (11/01 – 03/31)
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved religious exemption documentation required

Orientation & Training

• Must complete PeaceHealth Orientation Manual and Orientation Information Quiz with a 100% score prior to start
• Specific orientation modules assigned based on profession (RN, LPN, Nurse Tech, Allied Health, CNA, Surgical Tech, ED Tech, Non-Clinical, Home and Community Caregivers)
• Traveler Orientation Checklist to be completed on first day and submitted within 30 days of start

• Passport-style photo required for badge
• Criminal Disclosure Statement and Demographic Form must be completed prior to start
• Dress code policy applies to all locations
• ID Badge and Parking Form must be completed prior to start
• Personnel Restrictions Due to Illness and Masking Policy must be reviewed prior to start
• AccessNow emails for computer access must be completed within 48 hours of receipt
• References: Two references from Charge RN or higher within last 3 years, covering at least 1 year in specialty
• Employment history verification required for last 7 years with proof of 1 year in specialty

This position offers a dynamic work environment with varied shifts and opportunities to float within the facility. It is suitable for RNs with at least 2 years of experience and Epic proficiency, who are flexible and able to meet comprehensive certification and compliance requirements. Prior travel experience is preferred but not mandatory.
