Registered Nurse (Charge RN) - Millen, Georgia

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Position: Charge RN for the Medical-Surgical (MS) unit
• Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, 3 or 4 shifts of 12 hours each per week
• Schedule: Alternating weekly schedule (Mon, Tue, Fri, Sat one week; Sun, Wed, Thu the next)
• No call required
• Patient Ratio: Maximum 1:5 on a 10-bed floor
• Potential to float to other departments in emergencies
• No Return to Origin (RTO) permitted

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Previous charge nurse experience required
• First-time travel nurses accepted
• Prior travel experience: Not required

Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - Required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) - Required
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) - Preferred but not required
• Charting system: CPSI (training provided if needed)

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Annual EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start (with follow-up requirements for positive responders)
• Immunizations or proof of immunity for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• Negative 9-panel drug screen within 1 year of start
• Seasonal flu vaccination or declination with mask policy during flu season
• Two professional references within 3 years of start
• Annual skills checklist and competency exams as applicable

Additional Notes

• Must have a clear, passport-style photo for badge
• Review of nursing staff attendance and call-out policy required
• Medication and pharmacology competency exams required as applicable

This position is ideal for a Registered Nurse with charge experience looking for a travel contract in Georgia with a stable night shift schedule and no prior travel experience required.
