Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (OB) - Travel/Contract

Position Details
- Unit: Labor and Delivery, LDRP with High Risk/Antepartum
- Shift: 3x12 hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
- Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend
- Floating: Possible, rarely to NICU as helping hands
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Block Schedule: May try to accommodate but not guaranteed
- Locals: Not accepted; must live at least 50 miles away from all facilities
- Pending License: Accepted if applied for within 48 hours of offer acceptance
- Return to Office Restrictions: Considered per contract
Experience Requirements
- Years of Specialty Experience: Minimum 2 years
- First-time Travelers: Not accepted (prior travel experience required)
- Additional Experience Notes: Must be strong labor nurses; primarily needed in labor areas
Certifications Required
- Mandatory:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- Preferred:
- AWHONN Intermediate
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
Clinical Skills
- Must be able to circulate own C-Section
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Criminal background check within 90 days of start
- Education verification (ASN or BSN required; MSN not accepted)
- Professional license verification
- National Sex Offender Registry check
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated annually
- Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, or PA
- Immunizations and titers required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot within 30 days) or chest X-ray if positive
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella titers or proof of vaccination
- Flu vaccine required annually (medical/religious exemptions allowed with documentation)
- COVID-19 exemption forms accepted (medical/religious) but subject to facility approval
Competency Exams and Training
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (if applicable)
- Core Parts I, II, and III exams (Prophecy Exam accepted)
- OSHA Mandatory training
- Conscious Sedation Competency Exam (if applicable)
Additional Facility Requirements
- Photo ID for badge with specific photo guidelines (solid background, professional attire, no hats/sunglasses)
- Must surrender badge and Vocera device upon last shift to avoid charges
- Must complete various facility-specific documents prior to start, including:
- TB Questionnaire
- Privacy Policy & Acknowledgement
- Contractor Data Sheet
- Confidential Info Acknowledgement
- HR Policies Acknowledgement
- Hepatitis B Declination form (required regardless of immunity status)
- References: Minimum 2 references from manager/supervisor within 1 year of start
- Annual unit-specific skills checklist required

This position requires a strong, experienced labor nurse with prior travel contract experience, capable of managing labor and delivery including circulating in C-sections, and holding current BLS and NRP certifications. The role is a night shift travel contract for approximately 13 weeks in Indianapolis, Indiana.
