Job Opportunity: NICU Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Odessa, Texas
Specialty: Registered Nurse – NICU (High Risk Level III)
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of NICU experience (higher value confirmed)
  • Experience in a High Risk Level III NICU setting
  • Certifications required:
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) – required
    • STABLE certification – required
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
    • Other certifications as applicable: CHEMO, TNCC, EFM, ENPC, NIH Stroke Certification
  • Must pass Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exam and other competency exams as applicable
  • Background checks including 7-year history, EPLS/GSA/SAM, HHS/OIG required
  • Drug testing required (10-panel screen)
  • Physical exam and fit mask test required within 1 year of start
  • Immunizations and health requirements:
    • TDAP vaccine within 10 years
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray (with annual TBQ)
    • Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella – proof of immunity or vaccination required
    • Flu vaccine or declination during flu season (Oct-April)
  • References: 2 references within 3 years required
  • Skills checklist and employment application required, updated annually
