Job Details

- Contract Length: 12 weeks
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in specialty
- Unit accepts first-time travelers
- Prior travel experience: Not required
Work Expectations
- If one major holiday falls during assignment, traveler is expected to work it
- If two major holidays fall, traveler must work both
- If three major holidays fall, traveler must work two of them
- Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year's Eve/Day
- Full compliance required to start on time; delays may result in a 2-week pushback due to orientation scheduling
Required Qualifications & Certifications
- License: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Georgia
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC accepted
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - Required for RN in critical care-related specialties; confirm if required for wound care
- Other certifications (PALS, NRP, EFM) may not be required unless specified by unit
- Competency Exams:
- Medication Test/Pharmacology Competency Exam (required for RNs)
- Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam if applicable to unit
- Color Blind Testing Online (required for all candidates)
- General Competency Exam (required for nursing by Aya)
- Background Checks:
- Comprehensive background check required within 30 days of start
- Education verification required; can be pending at start with proof of processing
- Health Documents:
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months
- TB Questionnaire (updated annually)
- Immunizations: Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer), Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer), Hepatitis B series or declination
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- Flu vaccination or declination required during flu season (Nov 1 - Mar 31)
- Other Requirements:
- Review and sign Code of Conduct and Dress/Professional Appearance Policy prior to start
- Skills checklist within 12 months, updated annually
- Verification of most recent work history (can be pending at start with proof of processing)
- Two clinical references required

- Locals accepted at same rate
- Orientation hours vary based on contract length (e.g., 8 hours for 8-week assignment)
