Job Details

• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of experience in Pediatric Physical Therapy
• Schedule: Options for 4x10 hour shifts or 5x8 hour shifts
• Weekends: No weekend shifts required
• Patient Population: Ages 0-21 years
• Dress Code: Any color scrubs allowed
• First Time Travelers: Accepted (no prior travel experience required)
• Scheduling: Block scheduling available

Required Licenses and Certifications

• License: Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license for New Jersey or Compact PT License must be obtained prior to start. For NJ license, the license must be in process at time of submission.
• BLS (Basic Life Support): Required and must be current

Required Qualifications and Compliance

• References: Two references within the last 2 years, including at least one managerial reference
• Employment History: Resume or employment application with 7 years of work history required
• Work History Verification: Minimum 1 year prior work history verification required for New Jersey candidates
• Skills Checklist: Must be completed and updated annually (Aya requirement)

Health and Safety Requirements

• TB Testing: Negative TB test or chest X-ray within required timeframes
• Physical Exam: Must be completed within the last 12 months, confirming clearance to perform job duties and free of communicable disease
• Drug Screening: Negative 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Flu Vaccination: Annual influenza vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required
• Fit Testing: On-site fit testing required if job tasks require respirator use
• Latex Allergy Screening: Required if job tasks involve glove use or respirator use
• Color Blind Testing: Required within one year if job tasks require color discrimination
• Respiratory Medical Clearance: Required prior to start for respirator use

Background and Compliance Checks

• Criminal Background Check: Required within 30 days of start, including alias and multi-level searches
• E-Verify: Required to clear
• Exclusion Lists: Must be cleared from New Jersey Department of Treasury Exclusions List and other federal/state exclusion lists within 30 days of start
• Attestations: Travelers must sign attestation regarding pending background checks if applicable

Competency and Testing Requirements

• Medication/Pharmacology Competency Exam: Required for all RNs and LPNs (applicable if cross-discipline)
• Competency Exams: Must be completed within 72 hours of signing; includes Dysrhythmia/EKG competency if applicable
• Pass/Fail Testing: Includes EKG and medication exams as applicable
• Annual Education: Completion of annual education sign-off and safety manual acknowledgment required
