Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in critical care / ICU preferred
Required Certifications and Licenses
- Current RN license for Ohio
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA ACLS required for ICU
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- NURSYS verification required for all RNs
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in critical care / ICU highly considered
- Prior travel experience required (explicitly stated)
- Proof of 2 clinical references (hospital evaluations accepted)
- Completion of employment application/resume
Compliance and Background Checks
- 7-year criminal background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated for contract renewals
- Fingerprinting (Ohio BCI and FBI) within 12 months of start
- Primary source verification of RN license
- Education verification (if applicable)
Health and Immunization Requirements
- Physical exam attesting ability to meet physical demands (initial and updated annually)
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years (no declinations accepted)
- Negative TB test (PPD, Quantiferon Gold, or T-spot) within 1 year, updated annually
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccinations (boosters required for low titers, no declinations)
- Hepatitis B: Titer or vaccine series (declination not accepted)
- Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccinations (boosters required for low titers, no declinations)
- 9-panel drug screen within last 12 months (instant acceptable)
- Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31); medical/religious exemptions accepted with facility approval
- COVID-19 vaccination series or approved medical/religious exemption required
Competencies and Training
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam required
- Core competency exams required
- Facility-specific onboarding and safety manual acknowledgment
Additional Notes
- Fit mask testing: Complete facility’s online OSHA Respirator Questionnaire prior to start; fit testing onsite
- Computer access and temp staff information forms required prior to start
- References and performance evaluations required if previously worked with the facility
- Radiation badge only required if working in Imaging department (provided by facility)
