Job Opportunity: MRI Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Schedule: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM with Friday through Sunday call every 3-4 weeks
- Experience Required: Minimum 1 year in specialty (Radiology / Cardiology)
- Certifications:
- ARRT required (ARMRIT not accepted)
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP may be required depending on unit
- First-time travelers: Accepted (no prior travel experience required)
- Work Setting: Inpatient and Outpatient
- Types of Scans:
- Brain (Perfusion, Functional, Spectroscopy)
- Body (Enterography, Defecography, Musculoskeletal, Breast including biopsy, Spine)
Important Requirements
- Fit Testing:
- Travelers must shave to ensure mask seal for fit testing.
- CAPRs and PAPRs are not provided and not allowed to be used by travelers at this facility.
- Failure to shave for fit testing will result in cancellation.
- Background Checks:
- Criminal background check within 12 months required, including SSN trace, 7-year county residence/work history, nationwide search, and sex offender search.
- State-specific searches required for Missouri.
- Licensure:
- State license verification required (Missouri or Compact License applicable).
- Health Requirements:
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months (chest X-ray within 5 years if positive PPD).
- Flu vaccine or approved medical/religious exemption required annually during flu season.
- COVID vaccination preferred but not mandatory.
- Drug screening negative within 12 months required.
- Physical exam within 1 year indicating good health required.
- OSHA Respirator Clearance: Required prior to start for fit testing (not required for some non-patient facing roles).
- Orientation and Training:
- Completion of facility-specific modules and orientation checklists required.
- Additional online training for ICU/CCU and Cath Lab candidates (Abiomed Impella training) if applicable.
- Documentation:
- Government-issued photo ID, I9, E-Verify, Residency Declaration Form (if applicable).
- Photo for badge (passport style, plain background).
- Confidentiality and Security Agreement and Standards of Ethical Conduct must be signed prior to start.
Additional Notes
- Prior travel experience is not required for this position.
- Candidates must comply with all facility-specific policies and documentation requirements.
- This role involves both inpatient and outpatient imaging services with a variety of scan types.
- The facility enforces strict mask fit testing policies with no exceptions for facial hair.
