Registered Nurse - ER (Waynesboro, Pennsylvania)

Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM), 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week)
Schedule Notes:

• Weekends and holidays as needed (likely every other weekend)
• Floating as needed
• Blocked schedule not approved
• Call not required

Job Requirements

• Valid RN license in Pennsylvania
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• Trauma experience
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Required Licenses & Certifications

• Valid RN license for Pennsylvania
• ACLS (AHA or ARC accepted)
• BLS (AHA or ARC accepted)
• PALS (AHA or ARC accepted)

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
• I9 Attestation and E-Verify or equivalent attestation
• Background checks including:

  • 7-year criminal background check (must be finalized prior to start)
  • Pennsylvania State Police PATCH search (must be finalized prior to start)
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start
• Pennsylvania FBI Fingerprinting required within 1 year of start; candidate may start with results pending but must have results on file within 45 days or will be removed from assignment
• Education verification of highest degree/diploma/transcripts
• 2 professional references within 3 years
• Most recent resume or employment application
• Annual skills checklist

Health & Immunization Requirements

• Physical exam within 90 days of start, signed by MD, DO, PA, or NPT
• Fit mask test required 3 business days prior to start for patient-facing roles; specific approved mask types listed
• Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years
• Negative TB test (QGold or TSpot) within 90 days; PPD not accepted
• Vaccination or positive titer proof for:

  • Rubeola (Measles) - 2 doses or positive titer
  • Mumps - 2 doses or positive titer
  • Rubella - 2 doses or positive titer
  • Hepatitis B - positive titer or full vaccine series (3 doses) or declination form
  • Varicella - 2 doses or positive titer
• Seasonal flu vaccine or valid medical/religious exemption required during flu season
• COVID-19 vaccine, medical/religious exemption, or declination accepted
• Negative 9-panel drug test within 1 year (Aya requirement only)

Competency & Testing Requirements

• Acknowledgement of Pass/Fail Testing (must be completed within 48 hours of signed contract)
• Dysrhythmia/EKG Competency Exam (pass/fail exam required within 72 hours of contract signing)
• Medication/Pharmacology competency exam as applicable
• Other certifications such as TNCC, NRP, NIH Stroke Certification may be required depending on unit/job description

Facility-Specific Requirements

• Passport-style professional photo for badge (clear, light background, no face coverings except religious headwear)
• Review and sign facility documents including:

  • Commitment to Health & Wellness
  • Code of Conduct
  • Confidentiality Agreement
  • Non-Employee Affidavit
  • Hepatitis B declination form (if applicable)
  • Safety and Security Vehicle Registration (if applicable)
• Completion of Learning Management System (LMS) modules on PC/laptop prior to start (not on cell phones)
• New Hire Orientation must be completed by end of first day

• Candidate will be clinically screened for fit before manager interview
• Floating and weekend/holiday shifts as needed

This position is ideal for experienced travel RNs with trauma experience who are comfortable working night shifts in an ER setting and meeting comprehensive compliance and health requirements.
